Bizarre Cars Week

car must haves

If you're interested in seeing some of the world's most weird cars, you've come to the right place. This article will show you some of the most bizarre cars ever made, such as the Suzuki X-90 and the Nissan Pulsar NX.

The Isetta

The Isetta was the first car in its class. It was called a "bubble-car" because it was unique. Because it was a bubble-shaped car, there were no side window options. Additionally, the front end hinged inwards to permit access for the driver. The Isetta came with one door that could be opened to reveal a sitting area. It also had two headlamps mounted halfway up the body. The reverse lights were placed under the bumper, while the taillights were mounted as normal.

The Suzuki X-90

As a concept vehicle, the X-90 was presented at the 1993 Tokyo Motor Show. It was based on the chassis from the global Suzuki Sidekick. In the U.S., it was called the Geo Tracker. It was unusual in that it avoided the usual 4x4 boxy setup and instead created a coupe-like body, with very limited offroad capability. Inside, there were two bolstered thrones on the X-90 and a small trunk.

The Nissan Pulsar NX

The Nissan Pulsar NX, one of the most iconic cars in history, was born in 1980. The blocky, angular styling of this car would not have existed without the era. This week's Bizarre Car of the Week focuses on the bizarre design and unique features of the Nissan Pulsar NX. Let's first take a look at some of the most iconic features.

Hummer H2

The Hummer Hummer H2 interior has a weird mix of comfort features and industrial-looking ones. The controls and stereo are quite large. But this is an extremely comfortable ride, despite the low ground clearance. Exposed bolt heads on the dashboard make it even more alien. This is why the H2 is so unique.

Renault Avantime

Renault Avantime is an unusual car with a strange name. It was a part French-English portmanteau. Avant means "before" while time refers to time. It was meant to translate to "modern coupe", which was a nice meaning, but not sufficient to enable the car's success. Instead, the Avantime plays on opposites, with an animal-like front end and a squat back. Charles Moss, a critic of the car, called it "a hideous folly".

Toyota Multipla

Multiplas are a unique looking car if you have ever seen one. The windshield is slightly raised and the cluster of instruments in the middle aren't the most attractive design elements. Right-handed drivers will notice the doorcard is very thin. It's great news for right-hand-drive drivers, as it makes it so much easier to put the Multipla in the car.
